Chatham, Ontario, June 18, 2007 — Tupperville resident Todd Stevens is driving a new Ford F-150 truck for two years, thanks to AgExpert, a division of Farm Credit Canada (FCC). Stevens won the AgExpert Drive Your Farm Forward contest grand prize of a two-year lease by renewing his support plan for his AgExpert Analyst accounting software.
“I was shocked and couldn't believe it when they called me,” says Stevens. “This is really going to help me out since I am a start-up farmer.”
“AgExpert software fits with our package of lending and farm management tools because it helps farmers like Todd make sound business decisions and experience greater success,” says FCC Western Ontario Vice-President Dan Bergen. “And, with our experience in Canadian farm management, we know that a vehicle like the Ford F-150 will be used daily on the farm so I’m very happy for Todd.”
AgExpert also gave away two early-bird prizes. Collette Jones of Gull Lake, Sask., won a $5,000 home makeover, selecting a Sears gift card in the first draw. Art Gagnon of Ste. Rose du Lac, Man., won $5,000 in Syngenta crop protection products in the second draw.
