2012 FCC ON CAMPUS OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

1. ELIGIBILITY. To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must: (i) be a legal resident of Canada; (ii) be 18 years of age or older and (iii) enrolled in an accredited Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational institution either part-time or full-time. Immediate family members of employees and persons living in the same household as an employee of Farm Credit Canada (“FCC”) are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

Participants under the age of majority may only enter the Contest with the explicit approval of their parent or legal guardian. Written consent of a parent or legal guardian will be required for an individual under the age of majority to redeem any prize.

Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules may be disqualified.

2. CONTEST PERIOD. The Contest commences at 12:01 a.m. (CST) on October  3, 2011 and closes at 1:59 p.m. (CST) on March 16, 2012 (the “Contest Period”).

3. PRIZES: Odds of winning depend on number of entries received. Contest participants are eligible to win one (1) prize.

Grand Prize:
• one (1) Apple iPad2

Certain restrictions may apply. Prize must be claimed by selected entrants within 60 days of notice. No extensions will be granted.

Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash. FCC reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute any and all of the prizes for prizes of equal value should all or part of the prize become unavailable for any reason. FCC is not responsible for any prize cancellations outside of FCC’s control.

Winners shall be responsible for all applicable licensing, charges and personal expenses of whatever nature related to prizes. It is the responsibility of the contest winner to report any prize winnings and their value for taxation purposes to the appropriate government agency where applicable.

The refusal by a selected entrant to accept any prize forever releases and discharges FCC, contest sponsors, their employees and agents from all obligations related to the prize, including delivery.

4. WAYS TO ENTER. There are two ways to enter the contest:

Legibly print or hand write your name (first name, last name), complete address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), with the contest name “FCC on Campus”, along with a 250-word printed or handwritten essay on the topic, “How FCC Management Software Would Benefit My Business” and submit one of the following ways:

All entries become the property of FCC, and FCC reserves the right to use ideas and stories submitted in the contest to develop future advertising for FCC Management Software. FCC shall not be responsible for lost, misdirected, falsified or delayed entries and will not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data transmissions, or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment or software. Late entries shall be void.

2. Receipt and activation of the 2012 version of AgExpert Analyst or the 2011 or 2012 version of Field Manager PRO as a part of the FCC On Campus Program.

Students who activate the 2012 version of AgExpert Analyst or the 2011 or 2012 version of Field Manager PRO as a part of the FCC On Campus Program between October 3, 2011 and March 16, 2012 will automatically be entered into the Contest.

5. WINNER SELECTION: A draw will be made from all eligible entries received:

Grand Prize:
• Prize of one (1) Apple iPad2 will be drawn March 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. (CST) in Regina, Saskatchewan.

SELECTED ENTRANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED AT THE PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED WITHIN TEN (10) BUSINESS DAYS OF THE DRAW DATE AND MUST RESPOND WITHIN TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS FOLLOWING NOTIFICATION. If the selected entrant does not provide confirmation to FCC in that time, another eligible entry will be drawn and the process will repeat until the prize is awarded.

Selected entrants must present valid photo identification to receive all prizes. Failure by selected entrants to claim prizes within 60 days of notice will result in forfeiture of prize without compensation.

6. CONTEST WAIVER AND RELEASE: Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant agrees to sign a contest waiver and release agreement as a condition of receiving the prize where the selected entrant (A) agrees that he/she has entered the contest at their own risk; (B) agrees to indemnify and hold forever harmless FCC and the contest Sponsor and their employees and agents for any injuries, accidents, misfortunes or causes of action arising from or in connection with the entrant’s participation in the contest and/or acceptance and use of any prize, (C) grants FCC unrestricted rights to publish the name, picture, portrait, likeness voice and entrant’s contest entry essay for advertising and promotional purposes without any further compensation, and (D) answer a mathematical skill-testing question. The contest waiver and release agreement must be returned within seven (7) days of receipt or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the prize forfeited. The prize won will be either delivered to the winner by FCC staff, or an agent of FCC, or sent via courier to the selected entrant, both at the address provided by the winner to FCC.

7. CONDUCT OF ENTRANTS: By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules. Entrants further agree that violating the Contest Rules or violating the terms of service, conditions or use and/or general rules or guidelines of any FCC property or service may result in disqualification.

 
8. WINNERS LIST. Available after April 17, 2012. For the name of the prize winner, send a letter along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to FCC (FCC Management Software), FCC On Campus Contest, P.O. Box 4320, 1800 Hamilton Street, Regina, SK, S4P 4L3.

9. PERSONAL INFORMATION. FCC respects your right to privacy. FCC will not use or disclose any personal information we obtain from contest entrants for any purpose other than general contest administration and purposes set out in the Contest Waiver and Release. 10. LAWS. These are the official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to the laws of Canada and any applicable laws of the province in which the contest is held.

In Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling.  Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
